"Leaving? Don't you live here?"
Anno seemed rather confused by Luo Chuan's words.
As far as she knew, Yao Ziyan and Luo Chuan were free mages who traveled everywhere. They had decided to settle temporarily in Steel City and open a tavern, with rooms on the third floor for resting as well. She did not understand why Luo Chuan would say such a thing.
"Well... there are some matters to deal with." It was difficult for Luo Chuan to explain it to Anno, so he casually made up an excuse to brush it aside. "We might not come by often these next few days. Once everything is settled, it'll be fine."
Anno gave an oh and did not ask further.
Everyone had their own secrets. Since Luo Chuan had not taken the initiative to tell her, she naturally would not be so tactless as to dig to the bottom of things.
"Then we'll be heading off first." Yao Ziyan smiled as she said goodbye. "I hope you have sweet dreams tonight."
"You'll be back tomorrow, right?" Anno pressed, as though she were afraid of being abandoned.
"Of course. Didn't we agree to go talk prices with the wine merchant together tomorrow?" Yao Ziyan waved her hand. "We're off, see you tomorrow."
"Mm, see you tomorrow." Anno nodded lightly.
Anno stood before the tavern doors, watching the two figures walking side by side disappear down the street. Only then did she return inside and close the shop door.
The first and second floors were both completely empty, with nothing purchased for them yet. Anno went straight to her room on the third floor.
