When Wang Gulas and Koya entered the room, this was the scene that greeted them.

"Old Wang, you're finally back." The woman with feline features noticed the two of them and casually greeted them.

"How many times have I told you not to call me Old Wang? Just call me by my name." Wang Gulas corrected her rather helplessly, though he knew it would most likely be futile.

"Got it, got it. I'll definitely do it next time." The woman waved her hand carelessly.

Wang Gulas sighed and decided to set the matter aside for the time being.

"Old Wang, Tasha, return to your seats." An aged voice rang out.

At the head of the table sat an elderly Human Race man dressed in white robes, his hair and beard both snow-white. He looked like an utterly ordinary old man, the sort who was easy to overlook.

Yet the fact that he could appear here was enough to reveal his status.

Wang Gulas and the beastman called Tasha each returned to their seats. Koya had already taken his seat earlier, his faintly glowing eyes turned toward the window as though he was pondering something.

"Great Axe didn't come again this time?" Wang Gulas looked toward an empty seat.

"That's right." The man whose body flickered with blue light spoke up. He belonged to the Spirit Race, a special race akin to energy-based lifeforms and a relatively common sight in Steel City.

"It would be stranger if Great Axe actually came." The Black Robe Woman lightly tapped the tabletop, every finger extending from her black robes wrapped in white bandages.

Steel City's Elder Council was mostly composed of members from different races, some of which were rather unusual.
