"That is why she is a witch, a traveler on the road." Yao Ziyan was not as sentimental as Anno. She rose and walked to the window, looking out over Steel City shrouded in the night.

The lights gleamed brilliantly. Magic Dust formed a hazy halo that enveloped all of Steel City, creating a natural magical barrier.

Streets crisscrossed through the city, dividing it into different districts. Streetlamps shone bright, their lights splendid, turning it into a city that never slept, almost able to rival the stars in the night sky.

"Anno."

Yao Ziyan turned back to look at the elf girl, who was still feeling down, and suddenly called her name.

"Ah, what is it?"

Anno hurriedly looked up.

"Do you think what that human did was right?"

"Human?" Anno blinked, looking at Yao Ziyan with some confusion. Why did that sound as though Yao Ziyan herself was not human?

But she only thought it to herself. She did not ask, nor did she dwell on it.

"Um, after all, he meant well, right?" Anno thought seriously for a moment before voicing her opinion. "After all, he liked her, and he sought happiness to give it to her as a gift. At least that much was not wrong, right? It was just that the two of them... were never equals to begin with."
