The door to Cherry Blossom Manor was pushed open, and everyone in the shop turned to look in that direction.
Bai had originally wanted to stretch, but when she saw all those eyes fixed on her, she lowered the arm she had raised halfway, looking slightly bewildered.
"Uh, why are you all looking at me?"
Silence. No one spoke. Only the faint patter of rain drifted in from outside, putting Bai under great pressure in such an atmosphere.
Bai had no idea what was going on. Three unfamiliar humans had appeared in the shop; they were probably customers too.
Chen Yiyi quickly walked straight up to Bai, nearly pressing herself against her. Her large eyes stared fixedly at Bai, seeming as though they might shine. "You really are a dragon?"
Bai instinctively took two steps back. She was unaccustomed to this sort of behavior and did not quite understand the question either.
"A dragon? What dragon?"
"You. Aren't you a white dragon?"
"Huh?"
Bai's eyes widened slightly, her face full of confusion.
She, a white dragon?
No, when had she become a white dragon? Even she herself did not know.
"You must have mistaken me for someone else. I'm a demon beast, a genuine snake demon."
Bai smiled and shook her head in clarification. She was a snake demon born and raised in the endless rainforest of the Southern Borderlands. Many brothers and sisters had broken through their eggshells alongside her back then, but those who had become like her... seemed to be only herself.
"Ehh—"
Chen Yiyi dragged out the sound, clearly not quite believing her, while instinctively turning her gaze toward Anviya.
The petite dragon girl let out a soft breath and slowly walked over to Bai.
Bai was actually only around one and a half meters tall.
