"Huh? You're leaving?" Luo Chuan looked as though he had heard something utterly unbelievable and could not help widening his eyes.
"Yep." Yao Ziyan was arranging her dress before the mirror. Though she wore no makeup, she was radiant enough to outshine all around her. She glanced at Luo Chuan, amusement in her voice. "What, can't bear to see me leave?"
"Not at all."
Luo Chuan refused to admit it.
He walked behind Yao Ziyan and embraced her, burying his face in her soft, silky hair. A faint, sweet floral fragrance filled his nose.
"What are you doing?"
Feeling his breath against her neck, Yao Ziyan could not help twisting slightly. She was not particularly resistant to it; it simply felt ticklish and a little uncomfortable.
Time passed second by second.
"That should be enough, right?" Yao Ziyan moved her shoulders with an amused smile. She did not want to waste the entire morning here.
Luo Chuan reluctantly loosened his arms.
Yao Ziyan turned to look at him, then burst out laughing. "Why are you acting like we'll be apart for ages? It's not like you won't see me every day, and you can come over too."
As the owner, Luo Chuan could travel to Tianlan Continent with ease, so in Yao Ziyan's eyes, his expression was nothing but needless sentimentality.
"It's different." Luo Chuan shook his head.
"Forget it. I can't be bothered with you." Yao Ziyan rolled her eyes, then stepped forward, closed her eyes, and kissed Luo Chuan.
She stepped back, a faint blush rising on her face.
Luo Chuan smacked his lips as if savoring something.
Yao Ziyan stared into his eyes, took another step back, lowered her head, and suddenly slammed it into Luo Chuan's chest with a dull thump.
