Backstage.
Mu and Grace chatted casually, their conversation mostly revolving around Donald.
It had to be said that, judging solely from Grace's description, Donald truly was a good husband.
He was diligent at work and treated his family well.
If word got out, they would absolutely qualify as a model family.
Seen that way, his appearance was not entirely unacceptable either.
Mu's attention had actually been drawn to the area where the stage stood the entire time.
For some reason, that direction always gave her an uncomfortable feeling, as though some unspeakably bizarre thing lurked there.
Elves had always possessed keen senses.
It was like how ordinary people, unaware that a Magic Beast was slowly approaching from behind, would inexplicably grow restless, their hairs standing on end.
It was the same principle.
Yet Grace sensed no abnormality at all and remained perfectly composed.
Their interactions during this time had also made Mu realize that Grace truly was an ordinary person. She had not mastered any extraordinary abilities, so Mu's earlier speculation that she was a Dancer naturally had no basis.
"Why don't we go watch the performance from the front?" Mu suggested.
From certain spots backstage, they could see the stage ahead. It was an entirely different experience from watching below in the audience seats.
"Sure." Grace nodded in agreement.
The two came to an area resembling a hidden door, from which they could take in the entire stage and most of the viewing area at a glance.
But the sight before her made Mu's pupils abruptly constrict.
Ethereal phantoms filled the entire auditorium, vague and illusory like hazy gauze, curling around every audience member.
Onstage, the actors too had completely immersed themselves in the opera.
They had forgotten themselves, as though they had become the characters in the story.
