The stars and moon were about to brighten.
On the third floor of Hearthstone Tavern, Luo Chuan, Yao Ziyan, and Anno were having dinner. The two girls chatted on and off.
As always, the food was lavish.
"Gilena told me this morning about what happened last night. So that was what I sensed." Anno put the food from her chopsticks into her mouth, her words full of emotion.

Being shaken was only natural.
"I'd originally planned to tell you about it myself. That saved me quite a bit of time." Yao Ziyan said with a smile.
"What about you and the boss?" What Anno cared more about was the role the two of them had played in the incident.
She had returned to Hearthstone Tavern very late yesterday. By then, Luo Chuan and Yao Ziyan had already gone upstairs to rest.
The tavern had been closed yesterday, so she had enjoyed a long-overdue good night's sleep.
"Us?" Yao Ziyan glanced at Luo Chuan beside her.
"We watched the show from the shop." Luo Chuan looked up from his meal and casually answered.

Why could these people always say things that were obviously full of holes, yet somehow sounded perfectly reasonable?
Gilena was like that, and so was the boss.
"Luo Chuan's wording wasn't quite appropriate, but that was more or less it." Yao Ziyan explained with a smile.
Anno felt that the explanation made no difference at all.
"Oh, right, Anno. Here, try something." Luo Chuan seemed to suddenly remember something. He fished an item from his pocket and placed it before the elf girl.
