The leisurely tolling of a bell echoed through Luo Chuan's mind, startling him sharply.
His fingers twitched, and the food held between his chopsticks fell.
"Luo Chuan, what's wrong?"
Yao Ziyan looked at Luo Chuan, one cheek puffed out like a hamster's.
Anno turned to look as well.
"Oh, it's nothing." Luo Chuan kept his expression unchanged. "I just suddenly thought of something."
Yao Ziyan gave an oh and did not ask further.
If Luo Chuan did not want to talk about it, then so be it.
Luo Chuan silently picked up a bite of food and put it in his mouth, but the calm on the surface did nothing to still the thoughts in his heart.
"System, aren't you uncomfortable using this kind of reminder method?"
Unfortunately, no matter how much he complained, he received no response at all.
After breakfast.
Luo Chuan stood, stretched lazily, left behind a "I'll be going first," then pushed open the door and left. Anno volunteered to stay and help Yao Ziyan tidy up, while also preparing some ingredients needed for lunch.
Rather than heading downstairs straight away, he first returned to his room.
"System, tell me. What happened this time?"
Luo Chuan took a deep breath and tried to calm himself down. Getting angry with the system simply was not worth it.
"Task progress has been updated. Please check it."
The system's voice sounded.
"A task?" Luo Chuan froze.
Before he could react, firefly-like radiance gathered before him and formed a light screen floating in midair. Displayed upon it was detailed information related to the task.
It was mainly because he had not received a task in such a long time that his mindset had not yet caught up.
After thinking it over, he decided to see what it was first.
