Yao Ziyue tilted her head back, shading her eyes with a hand as she watched the Golden Dragon gradually fly away, until it vanished into the azure sky.
"She's gone," she murmured.
"If you wanted to go, why didn't you say so?" Elina poked her arm with her tail and asked curiously.
"You wouldn't understand." Yao Ziyue shook her head and brushed the tail aside, speaking earnestly. "This world is very complicated. It's not like you can do whatever you want just because you want to."
"Oh." Elina did not care in the slightest.
The customers who had been looking skyward soon started chattering again. Their discussions were nothing more than when the boss would return, what he had gone to Dragon World for, and whether he would introduce new products after coming back.
Discussions about new products had practically become a topic everyone inevitably brought up whenever they saw the boss.
Origin Mall remained as it always had, without much change because of the boss's departure.
The boss usually was not around anyway.
Only a few minutes later, Qing Yuan hurried into the store and asked about the details of what had happened.
Judging by her face, she had probably not put on any makeup.
Of course, as a Venerable-level cultivator, she was still beautiful without any powder or paint.
After Yao Ziyue explained things, Qing Yuan finally understood. "So what exactly did they go back with Anviya for?"
"No idea." Yao Ziyue shrugged.
"Don't you usually call yourself little Sherlock Holmes?" Qing Yuan draped an arm around her shoulders. "Use those powers of deduction and make a guess."
"It's so hot." Yao Ziyue pushed her away.
"When you were little, you loved sticking to my side." Qing Yuan refused to let up, pulling Yao Ziyue into her arms.
