A gorgeous curtain of light slowly surged, surpassing any sight in the mortal world, and destined to exist forever.
Shattered stars floated in the void. Withered roots stretched out in every direction, seeming to thirst for some hope of life, yet unable to escape the fate of death.
Each root was as vast as a mountain range.
Soul Lock and Black Scale stood atop one of the roots, gazing toward the star.
Only upon truly drawing near could one feel what a shattered, dead star brought with it.
Deathly silence. Desolation had nearly solidified into something tangible. All traces of extinguished life had vanished without a trace, yet the air of decay was deeply carved into every inch of the star's land.
"There isn't any life."
Soul Lock crouched down and stroked the jagged ground beneath his feet.
The two of them had roughly investigated the star the boss had thrown in, yet they had not found the slightest trace of life.
A star that had been completely extinguished.
Well, it had split in half already. If life still existed on it, that vitality would be far too outrageous.
"What exactly happened here?" Black Scale waved his tentacles.
Whether it was the roots beneath their feet or the planet itself, everything seemed to be shrouded in a hazy layer of water.
It was like looking at something on the other side through frosted glass.
Everything was always blurry, impossible to see clearly.
Even when they examined it up close, it was the same, as if... it was the influence of some rule-level force.
"Why don't you go ask the boss?" Soul Lock glanced at him and casually asked.
"Forget it." Black Scale shook his head again and again. He had no desire to seek out the boss.
