"What about you? Why did you still have a goal after being infected by Mind Shadow?" Luo Chuan asked in return.

"This..." Yila froze, not knowing how to answer. In the end, she shook her head. "I don't know."

Luo Chuan looked at the shadow in his hand, wondering if it had something to do with this thing.

But there was currently only one Mind Shadow, and Yila had no further useful information. There was simply no way to judge what made it special.

"You said just now that Mind Shadow appeared out of thin air?" Luo Chuan recalled something strange. "Did anything unusual happen at the time?"

The Octopus Monster listened quietly nearby.

Though it could not understand many parts, that did nothing to diminish its intense curiosity.

Yila tried hard to recall. "Something unusual... Ah, I remember! The homeland seemed to tremble for no reason back then, and there seemed to be some strange murmuring. Then a sea demon found a strange Black Stone covered in many odd patterns. I don't know if that was the reason."

Luo Chuan could not quite keep up with Yila's train of thought.

He stopped thinking about it.

Forget it. He would know once he went there.

"How are you going to deal with it?" Having received no answer from Luo Chuan, Yila could not help looking at the Mind Shadow in his hand.

"It should count as some kind of intelligent lifeform." Luo Chuan looked at the shadow. "I think it can be kept as a pet."

"A pet?" Yila was dumbfounded. Now it was her turn to be unable to keep up with Luo Chuan's train of thought.

"That's right." Luo Chuan nodded, his expression showing no sign that he was joking.
