Hu Kuang frowned and pondered for a moment, then shook his head.
"What do you mean?" Magic Ape asked, puzzled.
"It can't be changed." Hu Kuang's rugged face was full of seriousness.
"Why?" Magic Ape looked at him in confusion. "If we calculate based on the current odds, and the customers all bet on Sister Ziyan to win..."
Hu Kuang shook his head, cutting him off. "Merchants chase profit. What you described is the way of a merchant. Think carefully—what exactly is our purpose in setting up this betting pool in the boss's store?"
Yu Wei came over from the side and smiled as she patted Magic Ape on the shoulder. "When it comes to this, you still don't see as clearly as Hu Kuang does."
Magic Ape now understood what they meant and let out a breath. "That was indeed my mistake. But speaking of which, the betting pool uses the boss's store goods as wagers. What if we don't have enough?"
Yu Wei thought for a moment, then her eyes lit up. "Can't Origin Mall customers now store Spirit Crystals in their personal Magic Phone accounts? If the goods run out, we'll give them Spirit Crystals."
"Would that work?" Magic Ape was a little worried.
"They won't mind." Yu Wei smiled.
With the discussion over, Magic Ape looked toward the betting area.
Sure enough, Yao Ziyan accounted for nearly eighty or ninety percent of the bets.
However, the customers seemed to realize that Hu Kuang and the others holding the betting pool were operating at a loss, so there was no sheep-shearing to speak of.
They merely bet a bottle of Cola or Sprite as a token gesture.
The second card game ended, and the result did not surprise anyone.
Yao Ziyan claimed victory with an overwhelming advantage.
