"This might be the easiest mission yet."
The Landing Craft slowly glided toward the Twin Stars. Orr sat by the window, gazing at the tranquil stars in the distance, his mood bright.
He checked his toolbox, then leisurely sipped his coffee. There was still half a Terra Standard Time before they reached the target location.
"Ha, I wonder if that little brat will still remember me when I get back?"
Orr suddenly thought of something and could not help but smile, a trace of anticipation on his face.
When he had accepted this sacred mission, his fifth child had only recently been born—a tiny little thing.
That little brat had always cried and shouted for his father to come home, because every time Orr returned, he brought along whatever snacks and toys were popular at the time.
Yet after Orr took on that important engineering project and the engineering ship sailed into the boundless Chaos Void, thirty years passed in the blink of an eye.
Though that was not an especially long time for a middle-class Imperial citizen, it was enough for a child to grow into an adult and even start a family.
Due to the special nature of this mission, Orr had been completely cut off from the outside world. Even communicating with his family violated legal prohibitions, and any news from outside could only come in, never go out.
Only occasionally did designated personnel bring him scattered bits of news.
The Orr Family had been doing well these past years. After several of his sons started families, the household had expanded even further.
That little brat had also successfully graduated from Schola Progenium.
He had been fortunate enough to receive a Royal Court selection opportunity and become an administrative official in the City of Life. His prospects
