Kryfis could hardly believe it.
This was nothing like the boarding action they had imagined. How had the battlefield turned into a construction site?
Apart from the faint rumble of distant artillery, they could barely see any space bugs. Everyone coming and going was on their side, heads down as they poured concrete and worked on construction.
"Your Majesty-what is going on?"
Spotting the Savior nearby, Kryfis felt as though he had found someone to rely on and hurried over to ask.
He did not understand.
If this was a Boarding Action, why were they making such elaborate preparations? They were transporting supplies and building a base, and massive fortress walls were already about to go up.
He suddenly felt out of place here, unable to truly become part of the group.
And that was indeed the case.
Kryfis was a newcomer. He had yet to become part of the Imperium's command structure, and coordinating with the other commanders would remain difficult for him in the short term.
Especially when it came to specific tactics.
Many operational plans and tactical strategies had been drawn up beforehand and rehearsed extensively.
Only then could the commanders coordinate and execute them swiftly. Commanders at every level knew what they should do, what responsibilities they had to fulfill, and, more importantly, the costs and significance behind their missions.
For situations like this one, for example, established contingency plans and construction modules were already available. All they needed was to bring in the relevant personnel and resources.
Execution would naturally follow swiftly.
In such circumstances, inserting a stranger would only slow down the entire operation.
As Ron saw it, rather than rashly assigning Kryfis to the command structure and causing problems, he might as well keep the younger man by his side and let him
