"Th-this is impossible—"
Magnus swept his gaze over the scene around him, his face filled with disbelief.
This region of illusion within the Warp was strange to the extreme.
Judging by its environment, it was a low-level industrial world, one that had only recently emerged from the feudal age and did not even possess the ability to sail through space.
Moreover, the architectural style of the buildings here, the designs of the vehicles and machinery, had nothing to do with the current Imperium. They gave off an ancient, rustic air.
Even with the Sorcerer King's vast learning, he had no idea there was such a civilized world in the Galaxy.
"But why would the Imperial Aquila exist here?"
On the wall before Magnus was a massive Imperial Aquila. This was clearly an area controlled by the Imperium.
Beneath the wall were a few simple little sculptures, images of the Imperium's Ultramarines and troop transports. They looked rather crude.
One could even call them shoddy, with no artistic quality whatsoever.
That was only natural. This world did not seem to have the technical capability to manufacture Power Armor at all, so of course it could not shape the statues properly.
At that moment, humans came and went along the street, yet not a single person spared the Sorcerer King another glance, as if he did not exist at all.
"Why are these humans so pure? Just which interstellar colony's genes did they inherit?!"
Magnus stared at the humans passing before him, growing increasingly astonished.
Their clothing was something he had never seen before, and did not belong to the Imperium's aesthetic.
More importantly, the skin of these humans was smooth, whole, and pure, without the slightest trace of machinery or mutation.
There was not even any sign of the Warp's influence?
