The surviving Necrons felt deeply conflicted.
On one hand, they had defeated the Silent King and could break free from endless war, slowly restoring their flesh under the guidance of the New God.
On the other hand, this civil war had dealt a devastating blow to their species' population. Not even one in ten remained, leaving them unable to face the challenges of other races—especially the challenge from humanity.
The Necrons feared humanity would take advantage of their weakness and utterly wipe out the last strength of their species.
That would lead their entire race to extinction!

Kask's Phaerakh spoke thus, her voice filled with respect.
Their King of Hope was an existence capable of contending with the C'tan, and he also possessed power no less than the Savior's.
Even if the Necrontyr had fallen into extreme weakness, that being with godlike power could still protect their race and keep it alive, rather than leaving it to be butchered by humanity.
