After the Summit War, Ye Liangnai stayed on Luikavina Island while his companions hunted escaped prisoners and pirates. They returned stronger after the Marines underwent major changes, and Ye Liangnai heard about their victories and Ruri’s mastery of the Dark-Dark Fruit.

• Ye Liangnai refused the Marines’ request to hunt pirates and stayed on Luikavina Island, while Jesus Burgess, Nous, and Ruri went out to fight.
• Two months later, the Marines announced that Sengoku had stepped down, Garp had moved to training, Sakazuki had become Fleet Admiral, and Kuzan had left the Marines.
