After Lin Yu robbed the Celestial Tribute with his airship, the Four Emperors learned of the vessel and moved to claim it. Whitebeard ruled out seeking Lin Yu before the coming war, while Kaido and Big Mom dispatched forces toward Sabaody; Red Hair weighed whether to pursue the airship.

• Marco told Whitebeard that Lin Yu had robbed a World Government ship carrying the Celestial Tribute and revealed his flying airship, but Whitebeard said there was no time to find him before the war to rescue Ace.
• Kaido ordered Queen and the Flying Six to wait for Lin Yu at Sabaody and seize his airship, despite Jack volunteering to go alone.
• Big Mom sent Katakuri, Smoothie, Daifuku, Oven, and others to capture Lin Yu and bring the airship's technology back to her.
