Scholar spread false information about a Heavenly Flame in the Demon Spirit Mountain Range, drawing Xun'er into a dangerous expedition. During the conflict in the ruins, he unleashed power close to the Dou Di realm, but an unseen force stopped his ascent before he could reach his peak. 119 124

At the time, Scholar possessed a physical body and could wield roughly eighty percent of his strength, while Yun Xi was limited as a Soul Body. Scholar used blood mist formed from the essence and blood of countless people against him, then escaped a Space Storm and continued pursuing Yun Xi and Xun'er. 120 121

His battle with Yun Xi damaged the Demon Scythe and culminated in the destruction of Yun Xi's Heavenly Spirit Ancient Halberd. Scholar's constructed body was later shattered, leaving only a wisp of his soul to escape; this reduced him below Emperor-tier strength. 122 124

Scholar eventually reconstructed a body through arrangements involving an unnamed plane expert who provided the Demon Scythe. Reborn as a true Dou Di, he renewed his battle with Yun Xi in an independent space, devastating the continent below with their attacks. 232 234

After seemingly killing Yun Xi, Scholar was confronted by Yun Xi's return and lost his Dou Di Body. In desperation, he consumed the eye embedded in the Demon Scythe and invoked “Descend”; his life force dissipated and his soul could no longer be found.
