The war was still ongoing.
The lone Black Knight was charging headlong through the enemy ranks.
With his berserk strength, exceptional durability, and the aid of a powerful Noble Phantasm, he was doing his utmost to reduce the number of opponents.
But Rider wasn't idle either, relentlessly pursuing the Black Knight, roaring repeatedly as he commanded his army to surround and annihilate him.
This was a fierce clash between an individual and an army, vividly showcasing the brutal essence of "war" in the Holy Grail War.
After nearly half an hour of intense fighting, the Black Knight was once again sent flying by Rider's Noble Phantasm, skidding dozens of meters across the ground.
By this point, he had already eliminated over two thousand enemies, which was the extent of his capabilities. His magical energy was now running low, and he could no longer unleash his Noble Phantasm.
Panting sounds inevitably escaped the Black Knight's lips.
Heroic Spirits, though powerful, had physical limits; they were not tireless machines.
The Black Knight's durability was high, but not infinite, and channeling magical energy to unleash his Noble Phantasm consumed a great deal of stamina.
Repeatedly using his Noble Phantasm had left the Black Knight in a weakened state.
"Master, this is all I can do for you. I apologize."
The Black Knight was filled with regret as he conveyed his helplessness to his Master.
"It's alright, Mr. Lancelot. You've done more than enough. You can rest now."
"I apologize, Master."
He slowly rose to his feet and met Rider's gaze from afar. As Rider charged towards him, he offered a slight bow, showing respect to the King of Conquerors.
"King of Conquerors, I have lost this battle."
The Black Knight's voice echoed across the vast desert, reaching Rider's ears clearly. Rider abruptly pulled back on the reins, stopping his chariot, his expression one of surprise.
"Lancelot, what do you mean by that? Are you planning to surrender?"
Surrendering before the battle was over was not uncommon in the real world; Rider, having fought for many years, was no stranger to it.
But this was the Holy Grail War, a battle between Heroic Spirits. Surrendering meant forfeiting the chance to achieve one's wish, which was no small matter.
The Black Knight put away his Demon Sword and shouted to Rider, "King of Conquerors, I, Lancelot, have lost this battle, but the war is not over."
The statement was somewhat confusing; he had lost the battle, yet claimed the war wasn't over. Waver looked bewildered.
But Rider's expression changed drastically. He looked up at a certain young man in the sky.
"Could it be, Lancelot, that your Master..." Rider seemed to have guessed something.
The Black Knight slowly vanished before them, but his voice clearly reached Rider's ears: "King of Conquerors, do not underestimate my Master. In this battle, my Master was originally your true opponent."
"Rider!" Waver called out anxiously.
"Hold on tight, Waver!" the King of Conquerors shouted. "All my compatriots, scatter!"
If the opponent was capable of matching him, they would surely launch a wide-ranging attack, and a significant one at that.
To prevent his army from suffering heavy casualties, they had to disperse. While he wasn't sure if the opponent would attack in such a manner, he dared not take the risk.
Tens of thousands of soldiers moved swiftly. These soldiers were far superior to ordinary men and possessed exceptional mobility, quickly dividing into various areas to minimize potential damage.
All of this was observed by Shiki.
"A decent response, but ultimately useless," Shiki murmured to himself.
The Black Knight, now in spirit form, appeared beside him and advised, "Master, please do not overuse the power of your Magic Eye."
"I know, Mr. Lancelot."
Although Shiki said this, he casually removed his eye patch, revealing his activated Magic Eye. The pupils of his Magic Eye flickered with a colorful glow, a mark of the top-tier Rainbow Magic Eye.
A longbow made of combined blades appeared in his hand. This was a Noble Phantasm seized from Archer, originally prepared to counter Rider's Reality Marble.
Maintaining the Reality Marble for so long, Shiki had guessed it was the result of Waver expending all his Command Spells to strengthen Rider.
For most powerful Magus, maintaining a Reality Marble for five to six minutes was already considered an elite-level feat.
He channeled the power of his Magic Eye into the longbow, activating his Asura Path ability to manipulate the Noble Phantasm and enhance its concept.
His magical energy burned fiercely, quickly reaching the equivalent of one Command Spell.
Blood seeped from his Magic Eye, and under the Black Knight's helpless gaze, it was blown away by the wind, falling into the desert.
"Still not enough!"
The desert materialized by Rider was too vast. Shiki felt that the magical energy of one Command Spell was insufficient to destroy the entire desert, so he proceeded to burn two more Command Spells.
A massive surge of magical energy flowed into the Noble Phantasm, causing the golden bow to emit a brilliant light.
Immense pressure, along with the fluctuations of magical energy, bore down upon the entire world.
Rider's eyes grew serious as he tightly gripped the reins, not daring to be careless.
This magical energy was terrifying. He knew that the opponent's Master had also used Command Spells, not to strengthen their Servant, but to inject them as magical energy into the Noble Phantasm.
To be able to control such a vast amount of magical energy as Command Spells, who exactly was that young man?
Waver, standing nearby, turned pale. Sensing the terrifying magical energy from above, his mind was almost overwhelmed. He was so shocked he could barely speak.
"Rider, aren't we going to attack?"
The King of Conquerors shook his head, gripping Waver tightly. "No. The chariot isn't fast, and we don't know their attack method. If we rush in rashly, we'll likely become a sitting duck, or even..."
"Or even what?" Waver pressed.
Rider didn't answer.
He knew in his heart that it was more likely Waver would meet misfortune. With an attack of such immense magical power, Waver's strength was nowhere near enough to resist it.
In the sky, Shiki's Magic Eye trembled.
The massive flow of magical energy was already damaging his eyeballs.
When he felt the magic reach its limit, and the golden bow could no longer absorb any more, he knew it had reached the limit of the Noble Phantasm – the power of four Command Spells.
Shiki held the golden bow and slowly drew it back.
This bow wasn't drawn with physical strength; the user's magical energy was the key.
A huge golden magic circle unfolded before the bow, several people in size, exuding a strong presence, like a second sun within a Reality Marble.
As the magic circle fully expanded, an arrow shaped like a key materialized above the long bow.
The arrow was crystal clear, beautiful as glass. This was the true form of the Noble Phantasm.
Shiki looked at the key, took a deep breath, and recited the incantation for its release.
"May the blazing fire fall from the heavens."
The crystal key's light flowed, and Shiki fired it. It shot upwards into the sky like a newborn sun.
Shiki closed his Magic Eye. The Noble Phantasm had been activated, and nothing could stop it.
He stood in mid-air, arms outstretched, as if welcoming the end of this world.
The second sun rapidly ascended, and after reaching a certain altitude, it exploded completely.
But it didn't vanish. Instead, it transformed into a red magic circle that spread outwards with incredible speed.
Wherever the red patterns reached, the sky seemed to be torn apart.
No, not seemed. The sky was truly being ripped open.
As everyone in the desert watched, dumbfounded and shocked, the sky split open and then disappeared.
"Wrath of Nabû descends."
With the final incantation, Shiki also shouted the Noble Phantasm's true name: "Terminus Sword - Enki!!"
From the裂开 the sky, boundless water surged down.
The great flood, symbolizing the destruction of the world, poured down from the heavens.
The scene was like Mount Tai pressing down, no, more terrifying than Mount Tai pressing down. It was as if the sea was crashing down from overhead, plunging the entire world into darkness in an instant.
Only the second sun in the sky might have symbolized a sliver of hope.
But that hope clearly did not belong to this desert.
Boom~~~~~~!!!!!
The sea crashed onto the desert, spreading rapidly with its invincible might and colossal waves.
