"Hey, Mystogan, you said that the versions of us in that world have different personalities from the ones in this world?" Feng Lan poked Mystogan and asked, "So what kind of person am I in that world?"
Mystogan shrugged. "No idea. I've never met him."
Laxus covered his mouth and laughed. "My guess is that Feng Lan over there is probably some coward who can't even beat a stray cat or dog, huh?"
Mystogan immediately imagined Feng Lan being chased by several dogs. "Pfft! That might actually be possible."
Feng Lan cracked his knuckles. "If there really is a version of me like that... I'll straighten him out my way!"
Laxus shook his head. "You'd hate the sight of yourself, then beat yourself up. That's so you, Feng Lan."
Feng Lan smiled awkwardly. "Just shut up already. I don't believe you'd be much stronger than me. Maybe you're some little brat begging for candy everywhere."
"Ha ha!" Mystogan clutched his stomach as he laughed. "Hearing you two talk, I'm actually looking forward to it now. If you both guessed right, I'll probably laugh for another whole day!"
Feng Lan and Laxus exchanged looks. The versions of each other and themselves from Edolas surfaced in their minds, and they couldn't help laughing.
Feng Lan waved a hand. "Let's head back. I'm starving."
Mystogan put on his mask. "You two go back. I'll stay here for the night."
Laxus's face darkened. "You can't even go back for a meal...? Want me to bring you something?"
Mystogan fell silent for a moment. "That works... I want char siu rice."
Laxus froze awkwardly for a moment. "Just wait. I'll go buy it for you."
"Thanks." Mystogan rubbed his stomach. "Can you hurry? I... didn't eat lunch."
Laxus smiled and nodded. "I'll be right back."
