After reaching level twenty and claiming a five-thousand-year soul ring, he returned to face Hu Liena and Xie Yue, leaving Xie Yue defeated by his levitation.

• Tuoba Yan awakened the Saint martial soul and Golden Eyes, and Tuoba Xi discovered his Rank Ten Innate Full Soul Power before agreeing to keep his twin martial souls secret.
• Tuoba Yan absorbed a Celestial Horse soul ring and used its healing skill to rejuvenate Tuoba Xi, then acquired Whale Glue and urged Tuoba Xi to secure it for the clan.

Tuoba Yan cleared Soul Hunting Valley, uncovered valuable treasures, and pursued his rise within Spirit Hall while defeating Zhao Wuji. The arc ended with Tuoba Yan taking Zhao Wuji’s head, sparing Dai Mubai, and paying the residents for the damage to their street.
