Piercing shrieks tore through the air, startling everyone in the base.
"What happened?"
Raven, Hank, and the other mutants rushed out, staring around in shock.
The shrieking through the air continued. Everyone turned their heads to look, yet they could not see anything unusual.
"Ah..."
Terrified screams came from above. Then... figures began falling from the sky, crashing heavily onto the ground.
"Enemy attack!"
The figures falling from the air were all guards from the base. Seeing this, everyone knew that enemies had attacked.
"Be careful! It must be people from the Hellfire Club!"
Raven nervously drew a breath and clenched her fists. It was her first battle, her first time facing such a scene. The young Mystique was extremely nervous.

A series of footsteps sounded. A middle-aged man in a black suit, wearing a strange helmet, elegantly stepped into the base office building as though attending a ball.
This was Sebastian!
"Stop!"
"Hands up!"
A group of fully armed soldiers raised their guns and shouted angrily at Sebastian.
"Where are the mutants? Where are those superior humans?"
Sebastian ignored the soldiers' shouts and instead bellowed his question.
"Fire!"
The soldiers pulled their triggers, and tongues of flame burst from their muzzles. A dense barrage of bullets swept wildly toward Sebastian like a rainstorm.
"This is meaningless!"
Sebastian curled his lip disdainfully. "Energy Absorption" completely absorbed the bullets' kinetic energy, leaving him untouched amid the hail of gunfire.
"Monster!"
The soldiers cried out in terror. Then grenades—and even rocket launchers—were hurled at Sebastian.

The blaze of the explosions swallowed Sebastian's figure.
"Futile struggling!"
He stretched out both hands as if embracing something. The explosive shockwaves and flames continuously contracted between his hands before finally vanishing completely.
