Inside the mutant squad's tent, a tall young officer stood before the mutants and addressed them.
"My name is Stryker. I have been ordered to take you home."
The young officer, Stryker, waved his hand, and several soldiers stepped forward. They opened the suitcases they were carrying, took out syringes, and began drawing liquid from medicine bottles.
It looked as though they were about to inject the mutants with drugs.
"What is that?"
A mutant whose head was covered in spikes pointed at the syringes and medicine in the case and questioned Stryker.
"Sedatives. They will calm your nerves and treat the aftereffects of war. In short, they will help you get a good night's sleep. When you wake up, you'll be home!"
Stryker smiled broadly. Yet inwardly, he sneered. Yes, when you wake up, you'll be home—in Trask Industries' laboratory.
"I don't want to be injected with that!"
A man covered in lumps, with skin like a toad's, frowned. "I don't take injections!"
"Soldier, this is an order!"
Stryker's expression turned cold. "You have experienced war. If your trauma is not treated in time, it could easily cause psychological problems. You are different from ordinary people and could cause greater harm. Therefore, headquarters has ordered that you must receive sedative injections!"
