"Peach Garden?"
Little Meng was naturally no stranger to the Peach Garden.
When he had read Journey to the West before, he had drooled over the peaches: ones that ripened every three thousand years, every six thousand years, every nine thousand years—eating them granted immortality and enlightenment, a lifespan equal to heaven and earth.
Especially when the monkey had managed the Peach Garden, immobilized the Seven Fairies, and then... ignored them and turned around to pick peaches.
If it were me... I'd damn well go eat peaches too! Immortality and enlightenment! A lifespan equal to heaven and earth!
"This... is actually the Peach Garden?"
He raised his eyes and looked around. Everything before him was crimson.
Peach trees stood one after another, their branches and leaves withered, their bark mottled. There were no leaves, no peach blossoms, and certainly no peaches. Their entire bodies glowed blood-red, like demonic trees swollen with blood.
Before him lay a dense peach grove, yet it was a blood-red peach grove. The ground was even more gruesome and horrifying, as though it had soaked in blood for countless years!
Was this really the Peach Garden, or the Netherworld Sea of Blood?
Little Meng's heart tightened. He gripped his saber and sword, focusing all his attention on sensing the surroundings.
This Peach Garden was definitely no longer the Immortal Palace Holy Land of old.
The moment his spiritual perception spread outward, Little Meng felt as if he had fallen into a boundless sea of blood. Blood-colored Raging Tides surged and churned, their terrifying power seeming capable of crushing everything in the world!
"So terrifying?"
Little Meng steadied himself, keeping a hand on his saber and sword without daring to relax for even a moment.
"Once, this was the Peach Garden. Now, it is the Life-Reaping Garden."
