Thinking about such things was still a little too far off for Bai Xing.
He was only at the stage of transitioning from Bionic Ability to Current Drive.
Still, this discovery hit Bai Xing quite hard.
In terms of sheer power, once the Magnetic Field Rotation system reached its peak, it could likewise destroy and create universes.
It was no weaker than the scientific path of mastering electromagnetic force.
What truly worried Bai Xing, however, was—
"Quack! I don't want to become a lunatic!"
That was right!
Among magnetic field powerhouses, almost all of them were lunatics.
So-called lunatics were, in truth, people capable of carrying out their own will!
From birth to adulthood, every round of education a person underwent was, in reality, another castration.
Lunatics were like people returning to infancy and regaining their strength.
It did not matter whether they loved someone, hated someone, or killed any living creature.
Whether that person was male or female, old or young, poor or rich, they could be loved, hated, or killed!
Babies were at the most powerful stage of humanity. Lunatics were babies—or rather, adults who had regained the heart of a child!
They possessed enough power to carry out their own will. Ordinary people were changed by society, while magnetic field lunatics used their power and will to fuck over the entire goddamn society!!
Magnetic Field Rotation itself was a power of the mind.
Though it could be cultivated, emotions, willpower, and the higher-level "love" were the driving forces behind becoming stronger.
That was why magnetic field powerhouses were all so prone to going to extremes and becoming lunatics.
Bai Xing rubbed his face, forcing himself to calm down.
In his view, a true powerhouse was not someone who could do whatever they wanted and act however they pleased.
It was someone who could choose not to do something simply because they did not want to!
Just like in his previous life, when he had been killed because he refused to throw fake fights.
If he had possessed power back then, that big boss would have been nothing more than an ant. How could he have defied Bai Xing's wishes?
"As long as I stay true to myself while becoming stronger, if I don't want to become a lunatic, then I absolutely won't become one!"
The next day.
Following Bai Xing's instructions, Iketani sent invitations to every executive in the Takahashi Syndicate.
The chosen venue was the Takahashi Syndicate Headquarters Building.
Takahashi Hitomi accompanied him, and nothing unexpected happened on their way back to the headquarters building.
When they arrived at the conference hall, Takahashi Hitomi, now dressed differently, sat in the seat of honor.
She looked like a cold and regal queen on the outside, but inside, she was nearly scared to death.
"Don't panic. You don't need to say anything later. Just state your position at the end."
Bai Xing whispered thoughtfully into her ear.
Originally, he had helped Takahashi Hitomi rise to power only to save time and find himself a long-term meal ticket while he was at it.
But after discovering that what he possessed was not Electromagnetic Control, but Magnetic Field Rotation, his thinking changed.
To aid his cultivation at the Current Drive stage, as well as several other plans, he needed a great deal of money!
And the Takahashi Syndicate seemed like a pretty good source of funds.
Before long, people began arriving one after another.
Iketani stood to one side, introducing Bai Xing to the identity and status of each person who entered.
But Bai Xing seemed rather uninterested in any of it.
"Iketani, what kind of trick are you playing? The person who assassinated the boss still hasn't been found, and you're already discussing who will inherit the position of syndicate head?"
Once nearly everyone had arrived, someone questioned Iketani's summons.
Iketani rose to his feet and said, "Everyone, I have already investigated the assassination of the boss. Today, I will give everyone a satisfactory answer.
"Besides dealing with the traitor, there is another important matter to announce today."
Everyone exchanged glances. They had not expected Iketani to find the traitor so quickly.
They immediately began questioning him.
"Please don't be impatient. Kawamoto hasn't arrived yet. We'll discuss it once everyone is here."
In truth, it was not only Iketani who believed the traitor was Kawamoto Zentaro. Quite a few people present suspected him as well.
They simply had no evidence.
Thus, once those words were spoken, the room fell silent.
Everyone wanted to see exactly what trump card Iketani had that gave him the nerve to flip the table against Kawamoto, the man with the greatest influence, at a time like this.
Not long after, a pot-bellied middle-aged man swaggered in from outside.
Some executives greeted him, but he ignored them completely.
Even the two subordinates following behind him had their noses stuck high in the air.
"Iketani, my time is very precious. If you waste it carelessly, some unpleasant things might happen!"
This man was Kawamoto Zentaro. The moment he sat down, he spoke to Iketani in a threatening, ill-intentioned tone.
Yet Iketani did not panic in the slightest and said directly, "I believe everyone has been searching for the person who assassinated the boss. It has now been confirmed that the culprit is among us—the traitor within our Takahashi Syndicate. And I already know who he is!"
Kawamoto abruptly slammed his palm on the table, his eyes flashing viciously. "Iketani, that joke isn't funny! Everyone here fought their way up alongside Boss Takahashi. How could anyone betray him? You'd better have evidence for what you're saying!"
Iketani still ignored him. He merely clapped his hands, and a person covered in blood was dragged inside.
"My territory was attacked last night. After assassinating the boss, those people even refused to spare Miss Hitomi.
"This man is the captive I caught alive. After interrogating him, I learned the identity of that damned traitor. It's you—Yanagihara Masayuki!"
As Iketani pointed, everyone present revealed looks of shock.
They turned to look at the tall, thin man sitting in the corner.
"Heh heh." Yanagihara Masayuki did not seem to intend to defend himself.
He merely stood up with a cold laugh.
"Takahashi Kenichiro didn't know what was good for him. He actually dared to refuse Mr. Yamaguchi. This was simply the price he had to pay."
Kawamoto clearly knew something. His eyes widened in fury. "Yanagihara, you really joined the Yamaguchi-gumi?!"
Iketani also shouted angrily, "Why? Big Brother Takahashi treated you so well. Why did you betray him?!"
The others had not expected that the true traitor was not Kawamoto, who wielded the greatest influence, but Yanagihara Masayuki, who had always lacked any real presence!
Yet Yanagihara Masayuki seemed to have cast aside his disguise. He continued with a sneer, "Of course, because the Yamaguchi-gumi can give me what Takahashi Kenichiro cannot. And now, even if you know, so what? What can you do to me? With the Yamaguchi-gumi backing me, I will definitely become the next syndicate head."
As he spoke, he turned to Kawamoto. "And you, don't think that having a bit of strength makes you so impressive. In the eyes of the Yamaguchi-gumi, you're nothing but a tiny little bug."
Kawamoto was so furious that his face turned pale, and even the fat on his body trembled slightly.
Iketani shouted, "Then kill all of us if you have the guts! Otherwise, as long as we are here, the Yamaguchi-gumi can forget about controlling the Takahashi Syndicate, much less opening a breach into Tokyo Metropolis!"
As a nationwide organization, the Yamaguchi-gumi was far beyond what the Takahashi Syndicate could compare to.
This time, the Yamaguchi-gumi merely wanted to establish itself in territory controlled by another major organization, the Inagawa-kai. So it wanted to first open a breach through the Takahashi Syndicate.
Yet it had not expected Takahashi Kenichiro to refuse.
That led to this series of events.
Faced with Iketani's fury, Yanagihara did not care.
Since he had already been exposed, he might as well lay all his cards on the table.
He said to the other executives, "What about you? Will you die with that idiot Iketani, or agree to merge into the Yamaguchi-gumi?"
The others all fell silent.
"Bastards!" Iketani gritted his teeth. What enraged him most was that even Kawamoto had joined them in silence.
"I say, Iketani, are you finished yet?"
At that moment, a somewhat lazy voice rang out.
Everyone turned their heads at once, only to see a handsome young man slowly rise to his feet.
They had noticed Bai Xing earlier, but all assumed he was merely one of Iketani's lackeys.
Yet Bai Xing spoke up like this at such a moment.
Quite a few people immediately frowned to themselves.
"Kid! You—"
Yanagihara had only just opened his mouth when Bai Xing snapped his fingers.
Snap!
Boom!
Before everyone's eyes, Yanagihara's entire body exploded apart.
A huge amount of blood, bones, and organs scattered down like petals raining from the sky.
Yet the instant they began to fall, they strangely started disappearing. If someone could observe them with microscopic vision, they would see that they had not vanished, but broken down into even smaller molecules.
"Sorry, but I really have no interest in listening to your nonsense any longer."
