The journey went smoothly. The Divine Eye Pirates left Sky Island without incident and returned to the blue sea. Coming down from the White Sea to the Blue Sea, the Blue Sea still felt more familiar, along with the faintly fishy scent of the sea breeze.
Back on the sea, Susanna rechecked the Mingyue's position and discovered that it was sailing between Jaya Island and Long Ring Long Land. That made things simple. Their next stop had been Long Ring Long Land anyway. They only needed to take out its Eternal Pose and follow its direction.
As the Mingyue cut through the waves, Carlos was unusually absent from the deck. Instead, he had returned to his courtyard, sitting in a wicker chair. Before him was a small pebble-lined fish pond filled with brightly colored freshwater fish. Flowers and grass surrounded it, and the air was fresh, completely free of the faint fishy smell from the deck.
Carlos held a wineglass in his left hand and the Rumble-Rumble Fruit in his right, frowning slightly as he pondered.
What was he thinking about? Still the Six Paths of Pain, of course.
He had originally intended to personally select suitable materials during their voyage, but the people he had encountered after awakening the Rinnegan had fallen far short of his expectations. No one had fully met the requirements.
After considering it again and again, Carlos still felt that the materials for the Six Paths of Pain needed to be selected from Impel Down. There were enough strong people there!
Perhaps it was time to find an opportunity to visit Impel Down and pick out some powerful individuals.
Creating the Six Paths of Pain was a technical task, but in truth, it only required six corpses. However, Pain created from ordinary corpses would not
