With so many people looking over, Momousagi felt a little embarrassed. She put away Konpira, gave a cold snort, and stormed off angrily.
Carlos glanced at the training ground and noticed something odd in the way Zephyr was looking at him. He gave an awkward smile, then turned and went after Momousagi.
And so, Carlos settled down at Marine Headquarters. His days were fairly pleasant. Sometimes he wandered around Marineford, sometimes he visited Momousagi at her home, and sometimes he stayed alone in his villa to pass the time.
During this time, rumors began circulating outside, claiming that Carlos had joined the Marines. People had supposedly seen him strolling freely through Marine Headquarters, but there was no solid proof, so the rumors remained rumors.

Of course, the Marines did not have much authority over him. They had to treat him with respect and provide for him.
As the world's foremost and greatest scientist, Vegapunk was said to possess technology five hundred years ahead of the world, as well as scientific wisdom five hundred years beyond the present age.
This year, Vegapunk had already invented a method that allowed Marine warships to cross the Calm Belt by using Seastone. However, the method was not yet particularly stable. Accidents could still happen, potentially provoking attacks
