Although among the many monasteries of the Western Regions Buddhist sect, Spirit Mountain Temple was neither the largest nor the strongest, unable to compare with Heavenly Dragon Temple, Fayuan Temple, Guangji Temple, and the like.

Spirit Mountain Temple stood at the foot of a great golden mountain. Since all the construction materials used for the temple came from Spirit Mountain behind it, the entire temple, built against the mountain, blended almost perfectly with the peak.
The most eye-catching sight was undoubtedly a colossal Buddha statue seated upon a Lotus Platform.
It loomed within the temple, over a hundred zhang tall, its back against Spirit Mountain. Its Dharma aspect was solemn and dignified, and a faint pale golden radiance rippled across its surface. Its half-closed eyes seemed lost in contemplation, evoking feelings of profundity, grandeur, compassion, mercy, and more.
