Wang Chen emerged from the shelter, raised his wrist, and activated his personal terminal. Rows of messages filled the display.
In another two hours, the Advanced Martial Arts Test would close.
He glanced back at the cave where he had lived for nearly five days, shoved a boulder into place, and sealed it completely.
Then he headed for the assembly point.
With the navigation data provided by the Space Battleship in low orbit, Wang Chen traveled on foot for roughly an hour before spotting the transport craft that had landed on the Gobi sands.
Other examinees had arrived as well.
Three hours later, the transport craft, packed with third-year students, rose from the ground and carried everyone back to the transport ship.
The enormous transport ship's cabin buzzed with activity. Though the examinees who had undergone five days of training all looked exhausted, most wore excited, exhilarated expressions.
No matter what their results were, their experiences on the Ecological Experiment Star over these past few days would be something they remembered for the rest of their lives!
Many people's armor was covered in scars, all claw marks and bite marks left behind by Mutated Creatures. They had clearly gone through fierce battles.
Someone like Wang Chen, whose armor was spotless without even a single scratch, was an absolute anomaly.
Several examinees noticed him, and most of the looks they gave Wang Chen were filled with contempt and disdain.
They thought Wang Chen had spent the past five days hiding somewhere until the martial arts test ended—a coward afraid of fighting!
What sort of person was Wang Chen? With a single glance, he saw through the thoughts of these classmates.
He paid them no mind, found an empty seat at random, and sat down,
