At an altitude of 13,700 meters, the wings of the ZS-057G general-purpose combat training mecha were fully spread as it streaked above the clouds in high-speed flight.
Hidden inside the mecha, Wang Chen once again experienced a sensation akin to flying on a sword.
All Combat Mechas, including training models, possessed atmospheric flight capabilities. More advanced models could even break free of a planet's gravity and enter outer space directly.
The Fist Blade class ranked very low among Combat Mechas, so it lacked such capabilities.
But in Wang Chen's eyes, its performance was still extremely impressive.
Mach 5 was not this mecha's limit. It was merely the maximum speed stipulated by the combat training manual.
"Control Tower calling Cadet DPB2899720. You are about to leave the controlled area. Return immediately, return immediately!"
Hearing the voice, Wang Chen shook his head helplessly and immediately piloted the mecha through a long arc in the sky, flying back into the wind from which he had come.
As of today, he had spent a month undergoing hands-on study and training at the Seventh Combat Training Base. He had also passed the required two assessments, earning outstanding A+ grades in both.
Other than not having received the certificate, Wang Chen was in fact already a qualified Mecha pilot.
Of course, only in terms of piloting.
The ZS-057G's weapon systems were all locked down. He could not even use its alloy battle sword.
Only after moving on to the next stage of training would he be qualified to use the mecha's armaments. Then, after passing the assessment, he could obtain Junior Mecha Pilot Certification.
Half an hour later, Wang Chen returned to K3 Hangar.
A single hangar at the training base could accommodate one hundred combat training mechas, and there were at least ten
