With an ear-splitting blast, the main passage leading from Base D01359 to the surface was completely destroyed. Massive amounts of rock collapsed, sealing the exit shut.
The people in Base D01359 settled down once more.
Most importantly, the supplies that had originally been controlled by Tie Hu and the bar owner were back in everyone's hands.
As the saying went, with grain in hand, the heart knew no panic. That was the key!
After a flurry of activity, Lu Kui returned with several people to find Wang Chen and asked hopefully, "Sir, could you take us with you when you leave?"
A group of people stared at Wang Chen eagerly, every face filled with pleading.
Even with supplies secured, no one knew whether the Nether Race would attack again. Everyone understood clearly that Base D01359 was no longer safe.
"Not for now."
Wang Chen answered without hesitation. "I have my own mission. Also, the ship coming to pick me up won't arrive for another month, and even when it does, it can't carry this many people."
Lu Kui and the others looked at one another, all of them dejected.
