Ceres, Old Port District.
The capital of the Kingdom of Invya housed over a million permanent residents, so naturally, its urban area was enormous.
It was divided into seven major districts, and Old Port District was one of them—a place where countless commoners and lower-class folk gathered, much like the Lower City of Rand City.
When night fell, Ronan arrived alone in Old Port District.
After asking around, he found the Blue Whale Tavern.
The night was not yet very deep. The long street was crowded with people coming and going, and compared with Ceres's central districts, this long-declined old port seemed chaotic and noisy.
Trash that had not been properly cleared away could be seen everywhere along the streets and alleys, with groups of beggars and drifters huddled beside it.
Every city had its prosperous, wealthy side and its poor, backward side. Ceres was clearly no exception.
But the public order here appeared fairly good. At least, no thieves were brazenly mingling among the crowd and picking pockets.
When Ronan pushed open the doors of the Blue Whale Tavern, a stench of cheap tobacco, alcohol, perfume powder, sweat, roasted meat, and all manner of other smells rushed straight at him.
He instinctively activated his Psionic Power, blocking the powerful odor outside.
But Ronan could not block out the clamor and din within.
The Blue Whale Tavern was quite large, packed with all kinds of drinkers. Not a single empty table was in sight, and even the seats before the bar were all occupied.
Many patrons stood in the corners and along the aisles with drinks in hand. Some chatted and laughed merrily, while others whispered among themselves.
There was even a performance stage in the middle of the hall, where three stunning dancers performed fiery dances to the accompaniment
