Naturally, news of the Shichibukai's abolition reached the Shichibukai themselves.
They had received no warning beforehand. It had come so suddenly that they were all rather stunned. What was going on? Why had their positions as Shichibukai been revoked?
Looking at the newspapers in their hands, the Shichibukai each wore different expressions...
However, there was one thing they had in common: none of them showed much fear.

In the Demon Triangle Sea Area, aboard Thriller Bark, Perona, one of the Three Weirdos, rushed anxiously into Moria's room and gave the sleeping Moria a thorough shaking. "Lord Moria, wake up! Something happened!"
"What is it? Did more prey land on the island?" After being slapped a few times, Moria woke groggily from his sleep, still somewhat dazed.
Perona's smoky makeup was nearly ruined by tears as she said anxiously, "It's even more serious than that! Wake up and look at the newspaper!"
As she spoke, she handed a newspaper to Moria.
"What could possibly be so urgent?" Moria yawned and lazily took the newspaper Perona offered him, giving it an unconcerned glance.
But the instant he saw the paper, Moria snapped awake. He even rubbed his eyes and read it over several times.
He had woken up only to discover that he was no longer a Shichibukai?
Moria's face was still full of disbelief. Had he somehow slept his way into another world?
"Damn World Government! Damn Marines! Are they treating us like monkeys?" Once he understood what had happened, Moria's anger flared. What did the World Government take them for?
