Inside a bar in one of the lawless zones, the Kid Pirates had rented out the entire place. They were drinking merrily as they waited for their ship's coating to be completed.
They were heading to the New World as well.
Eustass Kid, the captain, listened to his subordinate's report and frowned. "A Navy Admiral? And those new Navy weapons, the Pacifistas, showed up too? Did something happen on the island?"
The subordinate reported, "The Ten Blades of the Quincy from the New World's King's Void Hall are fighting one of the Supernovas, Edward Weevil, on the island. The Navy probably came to deal with the Ten Blades of the King's Void Hall."
The subordinate could not be certain. He was merely relaying the situation.
"The Quincy's Ten Blades?" Kid abruptly rose to his feet, a smile curling across his lips. "Interesting. I never expected major figures from the New World to show up in the first half of the Grand Line. Do we know why?"
His subordinate shook his head. "Not yet. Island Seven has already been surrounded by the Navy, and the Navy on the island has imposed martial law. It could affect our plans later!"
"Major figures from the New World wouldn't come to the first half of the Grand Line for no reason. Something interesting must have happened. Let's go take a look—and see what the big shots of the New World are capable of!" Interest flashed through Kid's eyes. He longed for the New World, and he would head there someday.
His ambitions were considerable. He wanted to become the Pirate King, and the Four Emperors and the one king of the New World would inevitably become his enemies in the future!
Now, he wanted to see the true strength of those major figures' subordinates
