Bailing's Love

Ten Thousand Layer Mountain Peak was peaceful.

Moonlight reflected off the rippling lake, revealing a scene brimming with life.

Fluttering fallen leaves landed on the tranquil surface of the lake, sending ripples spreading outward.

The Ascending Heaven Pavilion was still on break, and Li Xiao had come outside to enjoy the comfort brought by the cool breeze.

Thinking back on everything that had happened, it all felt like a dream, intoxicating and surreal.

Now, looking back once more, he realized that so many years had passed without him even noticing.

Even Li Xiao himself had nearly forgotten how many years he had been in this world.

Watching the children grow up one by one, seeing the glorious Ascending Heaven Pavilion rise once again beneath the heavens, he gazed toward the future. Perhaps it truly was like wandering through a dreamlike paradise, too enchanting to leave behind.

Bailing, her white hair flowing, stood behind Li Xiao. Her slender jade fingers rested on his shoulders, gently kneading them as she asked in a voice as soft as water, "What is it? Thinking about something again?"

Li Xiao leaned back. A smooth jade arm was wrapped around his waist, and his head seemed to be resting against something as well.

Bailing pursed her tender lips, leaned close to Li Xiao's ear, and lightly kissed his earlobe. Smiling, she said, "No matter what happens, you still have me. You have our family too."

"Yes. With all of you by my side, my life is already complete." Li Xiao patted the back of Bailing's hand, his face full of a happy smile. Perhaps being with his family was the greatest happiness of all.

"I'll handle the next auction myself."

Li Xiao raised his head, glanced at the affectionate Bailing, and spoke softly.

"No need. How
