Before teleporting the examinees, they first had to send over a kind of token.
Someone opened a large chest filled with a special kind of stone. These stones were round, grayish-black, and utterly unremarkable in appearance.
They were called "stubborn stones." True to their name, they were unyielding by nature and inherently repelled spatial dimensions. They could not be stored in any Independent Space, nor could they be placed in cards. They could only be kept outside.
Stubborn stones were incomparably hard and could not be refined into anything.
They could not be stored or crafted into anything, making them of extremely little practical value. Such were stubborn stones.
For this final exam, however, stubborn stones had found an important use as tokens to be fought over. Aurora Academy would scatter seven hundred and one stubborn stones throughout Hundred Evils Prison, then have the examinees search for and compete over them. Within seven days, whoever found the most would take first place.
Most of the stubborn stones would fall into the hands of vicious criminals. Anyone who wanted them would have to seize them from those criminals.
To spur those criminals on, Aurora Academy had established an additional rule: any criminal who could keep a stubborn stone for seven days and survive this final exam would be absolved of all crimes and regain freedom. Under such rules, stubborn stones became a great hope for the criminals to win their freedom.
Whether examinees or criminals, anyone who saw a stubborn stone would go red-eyed and fight desperately for it!
