The location of the Treasure Vault and the method of Opening the Door were both secrets never passed beyond the Armor Whisker Bug Nest. Even most of the insect race knew nothing about them, let alone outsiders.
But Fan Lang was an exception!
Since he could find the Core Mother Nest's heart, he might be able to find the Treasure Vault as well. No one could afford to cling to wishful thinking any longer.
Moreover, judging from where the two teams were headed, they were clearly making for the Treasure Vault. It could not possibly be a coincidence.
"Fan Lang! First you poisoned the Core Mother Nest, and now you've set your sights on my Treasure Vault. You're going too far!"
The Bug Queen was utterly enraged.
She responded by mobilizing more troops to protect the two crucial locations connected to the Treasure Vault.
Logically, under these circumstances, she should have moved the Treasure Vault elsewhere or emptied out its valuables to prevent losses. But things were not that simple.
Most of the valuables stored in this Treasure Vault had come from the human race. Many of them were for human use only and utterly useless to the insect race, so they could only be sealed away for other purposes—such as trading with humans or breaking them down into the most basic materials.
The treasures themselves contained tremendous energy, and the seals imposed severe restrictions as well. They could not be moved rashly.
The Treasure Vault could only remain where it was. Moving it even a little was difficult, let alone relocating the whole thing.
