The Nether Dragon could travel freely between the Yin Yang Worlds. In battle, it could spew Hellfire and possessed formidable Soul Power.
Clearly, this ship's traits complemented the Divine Soul Pearl perfectly. The two could enhance one another, which was why Fan Lang had chosen to exchange for it.
