How could Fan Lang allow himself to be slaughtered at another's whim? He immediately tried to restart the system, drawing upon its power to resist the World Creation Demon God.
But this resistance proved utterly futile. Fan Lang tried several times without successfully restarting the system, and a chill rose in his heart.
Previously, the greatest enemy in Fan Lang's life had been the Supreme Purity Saint Monarch. Back then, there had been an enormous gap between them, but no matter how great that gap was, he could still see its limits.
Now, Fan Lang's greatest enemy was the World Creation Demon God. The gap between them had reached an immeasurable extent.
The World Creation Demon God smiled. "The entire universe has submitted beneath my feet. You alone were the exception, and now even you have submitted. Looking across the whole universe, you are rather special, but that is all. The reason I gave you so many chances was, first, to display my magnanimity, and second, to toy with you for a little amusement."
As he spoke, Fan Lang's hair turned completely white. His transformation was nearly complete; inside and out, he was becoming a saint demon. He could feel that after becoming a saint demon, he resonated intensely with the surrounding Saint Energy, and a heartfelt sense of awe and submission toward the World Creation Demon God welled up within him.
The World Creation Demon God released him and asked with a smile, "How does it feel to become a saint demon? Savor the nobility of this level of life. Then be overwhelmed with gratitude toward me. Thank me for my gift."
A conflicting impulse arose within Fan Lang. One part of him wanted to obey the World Creation Demon God's every word, while another refused to truly submit.
