Background

Jashin's statue bears an inscription describing his battles across the universe. After the Holy Eye Clan threatened the people of his home planet, Huang—also called Blue Star—he fought back, suffered grave injuries, and used a Space Curse Technique to reach the Ninja World. He established a faction there whose descendants revere him in Hot Water Village 154 165.

Jashin later tells Xiao Yun that he defeated two invading Ōtsutsuki on Huang, but more arrived. He sealed his enemies in another dimension, then gave his life to cast a curse that would transfer their power to a person born in a later era. That person, the Child of Prophecy, is destined to oppose the Ōtsutsuki and bears black, diamond-shaped Karma marks on their hands, feet, and forehead 165.

Appearance

Jashin is depicted by a masked humanoid statue. When the Hot Water Village Clan Leader prays for guidance, a light projection shows a burly masked man resembling it 154 164.

• The statue's mask displays symbols for wind, fire, lightning, rain, and earth, alongside unidentified markings 154.

Curse Techniques

• At Hot Water Village's altar, the statue emits purple light that grants villagers abilities including Healing, Weakening, Amplification, Nourishing, and Blood Curses. Some recipients die during the ritual 154.
• Most villagers can use their Curse Techniques only within range of Jashin's statue. Xiao Yun and Hidan are the known exceptions 172.
