It was hard to imagine that, in order to escape the great flood, more than half of the country's land had ultimately been submerged beneath rainwater.
When Roy and the others arrived in the dim underground cavern,
everything around them had initially been pitch-black.
But perhaps the ruins had sensed their arrival.
The powerful technology from eight hundred years ago caused the gaps throughout the cavern to begin glowing.
As the darkness was driven away by the light,
the entire enormous space was revealed before Roy and the others.
Just like the passage above that hid the Road Poneglyph,
the massive rock walls glittering with fluorescent light were, upon closer inspection, stone bricks carved from huge boulders.
Thin strands of moss spread across the stone bricks. Roy reached out and touched a nearby wall.
The moment a feeling of weakness washed over him,
Roy immediately pulled his hand away.
"They actually mixed Seastone into the rock walls? They really spared no expense!"
Raising his head to look at the vast mountain interior stretching as far as the eye could see,
Roy could almost picture it.
He could picture how the people of ancient Wano Country had hollowed out this mountain bit by bit before constructing this enormous cavern.
Enel, Caesar Clown, and Trafalgar Law, the current upper echelons of Wano Country, followed behind Roy and looked around with curiosity in their eyes.
"Hey, hey, Roy, what exactly did we come here for?"
"I never expected the real Wano Country to be underwater, while the Wano Country above was merely a nation built later."
