Sun Wukong’s avatar freed himself from Five Elements Mountain, carried Tang Sanzang straight to Great Thunderclap Temple, then took him back to Great Tang without the scriptures.

• Chi Yu went to Gao Family Village after completing the True Scripture task and found that Zhu Ganglie had swallowed the Dharma master and planned to marry Gao Cuilan.
• Chi Yu entered Gao Cuilan’s bedroom, told her he was her husband from a past life, and used an illusion to make her believe his story.

Zhang Zhe and his companions studied Buddhist teachings at Ten Thousand Sources Temple, but they returned to find Great Treasury Temple destroyed by Xu Jue, the abbot’s demonic former junior brother. The abbot sent Zhang Zhe to seek help from Chi Yu, while Xu Jue captured the abbot and an Elder.

• At Ten Thousand Sources Temple, Zhang Zhe questioned Chi Yu about Buddha, demons, and Buddhist doctrine, and Hui Ke asked about monks marrying.
