Obito stood back-to-back with him and said slowly, "I'll give Konoha the intelligence on Pain. Of course, it's not because of you, Kakashi. I'm only doing this because you're going to deal with those traitors for me."
This was what Hyuga Kei wanted them to know. In the original story, Jiraiya had uncovered this intelligence at the cost of his life. To prevent Konoha from suffering a disaster, Hyuga Kei could only pass the information to Konoha this way.

"Konoha needs this intelligence to face the crisis. This isn't just for the village, but for the entire shinobi world.
"You were once a member of Konoha too. I firmly believe that, deep in your heart, you still retain some attachment to the village."
Obito's steps paused slightly, but he did not turn around. He replied coldly, "Kakashi, don't think so highly of me. I'm doing this only to achieve my own goals. What do Konoha's fate and the shinobi world's survival have to do with me?
"Still, since I promised, I'll give you the intelligence. But don't expect me to stand on the same side as you because of this."
Kakashi took a deep breath. "Whatever your original intentions, as long as it brings useful intelligence to Konoha, it's a good thing. But I still hope you can truly see your own heart and stop making mistake after mistake."
Obito snorted coldly and said no more. His figure gradually faded into the distance, leaving Kakashi alone before the Memorial Stone, lost in thought.
Kakashi watched Obito's departing back, his heart filled with mixed emotions. He knew that Obito was still full of conflict
