Before writing this book, I knew there would be controversy. After writing it, sure enough, there was plenty of controversy.

In truth, demonic-path stories were far harder to write than righteous-path stories. Everyone shared a common understanding of a righteous protagonist's conduct and style, because those moral standards had been preached by society for countless years. But when it came to demonic conduct and style, everyone had their own views and ideas; no unified understanding had ever formed.

In the book review section, most comments were arguing over this very issue.

It could be said that writing a demonic-path story was a thankless and exhausting task.

Yet I still wanted to write it. The reasons had already been explained in detail in this book's "Preface."

Unlike many other web novels that simply told stories, this book carried many things of my own. To use an analogy, those web novels were like blank sheets of paper, able to bear many things from their readers. This book, meanwhile, already had bold, heavily inked paintings upon that white paper, carrying a powerful personal style.

If you had read this far and still liked it, then you truly counted as kindred spirits.

Thank you all very much for your recognition and support. With this book about to go premium, I also hoped everyone would continue supporting me.

Next, there were a few matters to explain, to make things easier for everyone's reading in the future.

1. I was asking for monthly votes at the beginning of the month. If there were enough, I would also release extra chapters at the appropriate times.

Of course, fate was unpredictable. If something unexpected happened, I would ask for leave in time.

But the update schedule would definitely be far, far better than that of my previous book.
