Zhou Shan receives Nine Breaths Assimilation alongside a status panel shortly after transmigrating. He later discovers a golden book of the Thirty-Six Heavenly Spirits Arts in his sea of consciousness and wonders whether it granted him the talent; its origin is not confirmed 1 113.

Abilities & Limits

Automatic energy absorption

• Operates through Zhou Shan’s breathing while he walks, rests, eats, or sleeps, without requiring deliberate activation 1.
• Draws energy from the void and converts it into cultivation. At its initial stage, each day provides the equivalent of one year of meditation practice 1 2.
• Can store newly generated Internal Force when a cultivation technique has reached its limit; Zhou Shan later converts stored force into Golden Bell Shield cultivation 6 15.
• Sustains Zhou Shan without mortal food, though he can still eat 2.

Energy replenishment

• Can replenish True Qi instead of increasing cultivation. After an attack drains Zhou Shan’s True Qi, it nearly refills in the brief interval before his next attack 49 94.

Primordial Spirit harmony

• When activated through Zhou Shan’s Primordial Spirit, merges it with heaven and earth rather than simply absorbing energy through his body. This makes the Powers of Law directly perceptible and greatly speeds comprehension 114 115.
• Prolonged use carries a risk: during three months of Law comprehension, half of Zhou Shan’s divided thoughts are assimilated by heaven and earth. He resolves to keep one lucid thought apart to remind him to stop 115.
• Before reaching the Nascent Soul Realm, the talent accelerates cultivation but does not itself grant Zhou Shan special comprehension of the Powers of Law 113.
