The wind and snow raged, and three Roman Class-1 Battleships hovered above the valley, exuding a strong killing intent.
Qier Mo, naked, stood on a piece of black rock. Her beautiful body shivered in the cold wind, and goosebumps covered her bare skin.
"Give me the child," Qier Mo called out as loudly as she could, trying to keep her voice calm.
"They are destined to be with Buddha and are meant to be part of my Buddhist Sect. Our karma together has ended, be gone!" A hoarse, unpleasant voice came from a stone cave in the mountain wall. A gentle force remotely lifted Qier Mo and sent her hundreds of meters away.
"Give me the child!" Still airborne, Qier Mo shrieked, struggling with all her might like a wounded lioness.
White Lotus Qi Force supported Qier Mo, sending her all the way to the Roman battleships hundreds of meters away.
One Roman battleship silently descended dozens of meters. An armored plate beneath the ship slid open, and a green light shot down, drawing Qier Mo into the vessel. The other two battleships slowly flew towards the mountain wall ahead. The armor on their bow-mounted weapon emplacements opened completely, and dozens of dark muzzles aimed at the cave in the mountain wall.
Qier Mo's voice echoed throughout the valley: "Give me back my child, or... I'll kill you!"
"Good!"
A thunderous Buddhist chant rolled out from the cave, and two massive White Bottle Qi Force blasts shot out, hitting the two battleships in front.
With a piercing cracking sound, the two battleships began to shatter inch by inch from their bows, turning into countless fragments that scattered in the air in the blink of an eye. The plasma engine units within the battleships disintegrated entirely in an extremely short period, turning into countless points of light that fell from the sky before they could even explode.
All the crew members on the left battleship were pulverized along with it. The crew members on the right battleship were each supported by a mass of White Lotus Qi Force, which sent them to the bottom of the battleship hundreds of meters away.
"Life-Death Illusion Destruction, it is nothing more than the Buddha's gentle smile as he picks up a flower. Benefactress, you are too attached."
Apart from the sound of the wind and snow, there was no other sound in the valley. After about three minutes, the remaining Roman battleship hastily landed, picked up all its surviving comrades, and then urgently took off, leaving the valley.
The Life-Killing Buddha emerged slowly from the stone cave, carrying two swaddling clothes in one hand. He gazed at the battleships disappearing into the clouds and calmly recited a Buddhist chant.
"Namo Amitabha, Benefactress, we shall not meet again. Our karma in this life is fulfilled; in the next life, this humble monk will continue our good karma with you."
Seventeen years later, on the summit of Mount Everest, the Life-Killing Buddha sat cross-legged facing west.
The brothers Bore and Maha, dressed in coarse linen robes, knelt quietly behind the Life-Killing Buddha.
The Life-Killing Buddha's body continuously expanded and contracted, sometimes appearing fair and plump, other times dark and shriveled. Between the interweaving black and white, indistinct chaotic qi force continuously surged from his body. Grayish qi enveloped the Life-Killing Buddha, making his form blurry, as if he were no longer in this world.
"Bore." Bore prostrated himself on the ground.
"Maha." Maha forcefully kowtowed on the ground.
"Go down the mountain. Head north. Your destiny lies in the mortal world. Remember one thing: do not attempt to merge the treasures your father left you until your internal Life-Death Energies flow ceaselessly and your Thirteen Chakras operate without interruption."
Letting out a forceful cough, the Life-Killing Buddha tore open his chest and retrieved two fist-sized purple crystals, handing them to Bore for safekeeping.
"To obtain these trinkets back then, your father annihilated over three thousand four hundred people, committing grave sins. After you descend the mountain, Bore, remember to accumulate merit for me and recite the Vajra Sutra one hundred thousand times to atone for these sins. Maha... do as your heart desires!"
The brothers pressed their foreheads against the snow-covered ground. The Life-Killing Buddha raised his head and gazed at the bright sun in the sky.
A flame with a lapis lazuli hue emerged from the Life-Killing Buddha's brow, rapidly burning away his entire body.
The Life-Killing Buddha vanished, leaving nothing behind, not even a single sarira. His lifetime of cultivation was entirely poured into Bore and Maha, quietly hidden within their chakras.
The brothers quietly got up and silently recited scriptures with neither joy nor sorrow.
The next instant, Maha suddenly jumped three feet into the air, excitedly roaring towards the sky with a clenched fist, "The old bastard's finally dead! Hahaha, we're going down the mountain! Wahahahaha!" (To be continued)
