Chapter Five: Relevant Settings:
Classification of cultivation realms:
First Realm: Entering Aperture (the most basic stage of cultivation; it helped people unlock their own potential and brought ordinary people into cultivation**!)
Second Realm: Condensing Soul (Why was there such a vast difference in ability between ordinary people and cultivators? The main reason was the difference in how condensed their souls were! The soul contained a person's greatest energy. Ordinary people's souls were scattered and weak, while cultivators' souls were condensed and powerful!)
Third Realm: Purity (Once one had condensed and cultivated their own energy to a certain extent, they could no longer continue. At that point, they needed purity! That meant removing impurities and retaining the purest essence for continued cultivation. The degree of inner purity was also the key to determining one's future achievements. The higher the purity, the greater the potential for development!)
Fourth Realm: Opening Aperture (After cultivating through the first three realms, a person's own potential had already been fully unearthed. In other words, no matter how much one continued cultivating, at most they would become a supreme expert in the mundane world. Moreover, in the cultivation methods of every sect on the great path of desire, the first three realms were the same. The true key lay in the fourth realm, Opening Aperture. In truth, only upon reaching this step could one be said to have truly glimpsed cultivation**, because no matter how extraordinary one's talent, one was still only human. Before the vast and boundless universe, one was not even as significant as a grain of sand. Only by connecting oneself to the universe and using oneself to control that boundless heaven and earth could one live as long as heaven and earth! Since each sect's Opening Aperture method differed, their future development differed as well! Of course, there were also those who went in the opposite direction. Rather than communicating with heaven and earth, they declared: I am heaven, I am earth! We called this demonic cultivation!)
Fifth Realm: Nascent Soul (Only upon reaching this realm could one be considered a true cultivator, and it was also a necessary condition for ascending to immortality in the future! To cultivators, the physical body eventually became nothing more than a stinking sack of flesh. A destroyed body could be remade, but if the Nascent Soul was destroyed, one would be beyond redemption for all eternity! To ascend, one needed infinite energy. The greater the energy one possessed, the greater the might of heaven and earth one could control. It was like how a larger stone created larger splashes. Yet the physical body could not possibly withstand so much energy, so the soul was wrapped in energy, and energy was used as the body. Later on, the physical body was merely a container. The more condensed the energy, the smaller its volume, so the smaller the Nascent Soul, the higher one's cultivation! As for demonic cultivators, they endlessly strengthened their physical bodies to achieve the goal of being supreme above heaven and below earth. We would not discuss that here!)
Sixth Realm: Selflessness (People were always entangled by endless emotions, which ran contrary to the Heavenly Dao. When one possessed infinite energy, if one remained bound by emotions, the final result would be qi deviation! To put it plainly, if the previous realms were all cultivation of energy, then this realm was cultivation of the soul!)
Seventh Realm: Great Vehicle (A cultivator who possessed infinite energy, could communicate with heaven and earth, and was free of distracting thoughts and troubled emotions had reached the Great Vehicle realm. They awaited the moment of Nirvana and rebirth!)
Eighth Realm: Nirvana (This realm was the gate of life and death. Success meant rebirth from the flames; failure meant eternal annihilation! Many chose Soldier's Demise at this point to cultivate as Golden Immortals!)
Ninth Realm: Ascension (Congratulations, congratulations. There was nothing else to say. Hand out the cards!)
Note: Advancing from one realm to the next required passing a tribulation, and the further one progressed, the greater the tribulations became. Their power increased geometrically. One point must be made clear: the Nirvana realm was only a gate. To put it simply, it was an exam—the college entrance exam. Those who passed went straight to Ascension; those who failed, goodbye. The power of the Nirvana heavenly tribulation was proportional to the cultivator's cultivation. In other words, the higher a cultivator's cultivation, the more absurdly brutal the heavenly tribulation encountered during Nirvana. But if one's cultivation was insufficient, then death was even more certain, so it was a contradiction! As for cultivating as a Golden Immortal, it could be divided into: Golden Immortal, Great Golden Immortal, Grand Unity Golden Immortal, and Perfected Immortal! There was one tribulation every thousand years, and they became more terrifying the further one went. If one became a Perfected Immortal, one would exist alongside heaven and earth, but so far, legend said only one person had achieved it! Tsk tsk, Bajie had even made up a cultivation ranking himself. Gahaha.
Main Text:
Classmate Sheng Nixie had jumped off a cliff. That's right, he had jumped off a cliff—what was love in this world? Tsk tsk tsk, wasn't that more devoted than Yang Guo? He had jumped without a second word.
That's right, you guessed it. He hadn't died. Please, how could jumping off a cliff possibly kill anyone these days?
Having survived, Classmate Sheng Nixie naturally discovered a cave at the bottom of the cliff, leading straight underground.
So, just like in countless novels, he went inside.
This was a secret chamber, a secret chamber in the absolute sense!
There was a book on the table—or perhaps it should have been called a stack of papers.
In the dim passageway, only a few half-dead oil lamps hung sparsely on the gray, decaying walls, moaning as hollowly as Kongkong himself (Don't know who Kongkong is? Why don't you go practice the Sunflower Manual?)
"Tap! Tap! Tap!" Low, distant footsteps slid in.
It was quiet—so quiet that the echoes of footsteps rang through the passage with flawless clarity.
"Snap!"
"Hissssss!"
"Huh!? Where was it?... Oh!~ It was on my hand!" (Sweat...--)
"Crack crack! Creak~~~" Sheng Nixie slowly and excitedly walked in (His whole body was shaking. How could he not be excited? What? He was about to shoot?... ORZ). Before the table, Sheng Nixie stopped. A soul-stealing silver flash flickered through his eyes, and the aura he gave off was enough to drive one into despair.
(Some attentive little readers might ask: Didn't you say this was a secret chamber? Some damn absolute secret chamber, even. How had Sheng Nixie gotten in so easily?)
(The author replied: Because Sheng Nixie had a [key]!)
(Damn it! Who was throwing bricks?)
A faint, bewildering yellow light drifted from the stack of papers, weak yet resolute as it shrouded the entire table.
"Ah~~~~~~" Sheng Nixie withdrew his hand miserably. The nauseating aroma of roasted meat rose through the air. "Heh!" Sheng Nixie lightly mocked himself as he looked at his hand. The flesh of his entire palm had been cooked through and was peeling away. A current of energy like clear spring water swiftly enveloped the whole hand. After three breaths, his hand had returned to normal!
(What? Was it his left hand or right hand? Which hand do you prefer? Personally, I'm more used to the right... YMPK)
"Heh! Looks like there really was no way around using the incantation. Damn it, which bastard came up with such a filthy spell?" Sheng Nixie muttered.
"Ah~~~~~~~~~ ah~~~~~~~~~ mm-mm-hmm~~~~~~~ OMG~~~~~~~*ME!" After reciting the incantation, Sheng Nixie's face had turned purple and green. In his heart, he frantically sent greetings to every woman in the family line of some unknown person!
Just as Sheng Nixie was engaging in mentally unhealthy activities, a curtain of golden light suddenly emerged from nowhere and wrapped around his entire body. Before Sheng Nixie could react, an irresistible force, like something that absolutely had to be ejaculated, sucked all the energy out of his body. Sheng Nixie discovered in utter terror that even his soul seemed about to be pulled free.
But Sheng Nixie could only endure the sensation of his soul being torn apart in silence, like a little girl raped by a burly man. Sheng Nixie suddenly had an utterly bizarre thought: Actually, being raped by someone could be pretty enjoyable, couldn't it? You could let yourself enjoy it, you could scream as loudly as you wanted. But now, not only was there no pleasure, I couldn't even scream! What kind of bullshit was this?
"Ah~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I refuse to accept this!~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was still a pure virgin!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If Heaven gave me another chance, I'd fuck every woman in the world!" As he shouted those words, the silver light in Sheng Nixie's eyes suddenly shot more than a foot away.
Yet everything continued...
Just as Sheng Nixie had fallen into complete despair and his soul was about to be extracted, it stopped. The merciless squeezing stopped, as if it had never happened. A warm, soft current gently flowed through the entire body of the heavily unconscious Sheng Nixie—in the face of this incomparably powerful force, even the unknown gold and silver lights inside Sheng Nixie's body could only silently be violated!
"Ah~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~" A moan like a high*shot drifted from Sheng Nixie's mouth.
With a swallow flip, Sheng Nixie swiftly sprang up from the ground, ready to get the hell out of this place as quickly as possible. Sheng Nixie was entirely focused on how to escape, so he failed to notice that not only had his body not been damaged, it had instead grown much stronger—especially his soul.
Just as Sheng Nixie was about to gather his qi and rush out, an inexplicable force firmly froze him in place. Sheng Nixie discovered in terror that he could not mobilize even the slightest trace of power—Didn't Sheng Nixie intend to die? Why was he afraid of death again? Mm-hmm, there was a reason for that. Please keep reading!
"Who? Who was messing with this great lord? If you've got the balls, get the fuck out here! Sneak-attacking people in the dark—what kind of bullshit skill was that? If you've got a dick, fight me for a thousand rounds!"
"..."
"Scared? If you're scared, let me go. I can be magnanimous and not hold it against you!"
"..."
"...-%-...*(-...-¥...%¥...%-...%*-%*-(*(*...*-%...*"
"..."
No matter how viciously Sheng Nixie cursed, there was no response at all. The silver light in his eyes blazed brighter and brighter, and the more he cursed, the more fired up he became...
Three days passed.
Sheng Nixie had been frozen in place for three days, and he had cursed for three days. Due to his extreme emptiness and panic, he failed to notice that his power and soul had been growing at a terrifying pace throughout those three days.
By the fifth day, Sheng Nixie had stopped cursing. He had finally discovered the changes within his body. Sheng Nixie vaguely grasped a clue. He now devoted himself wholeheartedly to quiet cultivation, sensing the inexplicable boiling within his body. The silver light in his eyes became increasingly intense, while his lower body stood obscenely erect, the silver glow there even more dazzling.
The seventh day!
Just as Sheng Nixie was thoroughly enjoying the incomparable pleasure brought by his growing power, a faint voice split the entire secret chamber like a thunderclap.
"Little bastard! Why didn't you keep cursing?" The voice sounded utterly drained, as though it had just ejaculated ten times.
Sheng Nixie's entire body trembled involuntarily. Perhaps because his soul had been greatly strengthened, he swiftly calmed his stormy emotions and asked in a low voice, "Were you finally willing to come out?"
"Heh heh!" The voice gave a strange laugh.
"What were you laughing at?" Sheng Nixie demanded, somewhat angry and somewhat uneasy.
"Were you afraid of me?"
"What did you say? I was afraid of you? What a joke!"
"Oh!? Was that so?"
A powerful, tyrannical pressure surged toward Sheng Nixie. If he had been able to move, Sheng Nixie would have fled long ago, but now he could only endure it head-on.
"What exactly did you want? Were you here to torment me? Oh! No, you weren't. If you were, why would you help me? Perhaps you had been pent up for too long and wanted someone to relieve your boredom? Hmm?" Sheng Nixie asked, embarrassed yet rational.
"Oh!?" The voice sounded rather interested. "Why did you say I helped you? Hmm!?"
I guessed right! Sheng Nixie thought. Realizing that this mysterious thing bore him no ill will and might even be helping him, Sheng Nixie spoke far more calmly and steadily.
"First, over these six or seven days, my power and soul had inexplicably grown at an incredible rate."
"..."
"Second, aside from me, you were the only thing that had appeared here!"
"I'm a person, not a thing!" The voice sounded somewhat annoyed.
Sheng Nixie wanted to laugh at this stranger's defense, but he did not wish to anger him, so he continued, "Combining those two points, my conclusion is this: someone had been helping me in secret, and that person was you! Although I don't know what your motive is, I can be certain that you won't harm me!"
"..."
Silence, silence.
"Hahahaha! Not bad, not bad. You're a smart person, but there is one point you didn't get entirely right!"
"Which point?"
"I would harm you. That was originally what I intended to do!"
"Then... why?"
"Because of something you said, I changed my mind."
"Which words?"
"The words you shouted: 'Ah~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I refuse to accept this!~~~~~~~~~~~~ I was still a pure virgin!~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ If Heaven gave me another chance, I'd fuck every woman in the world!'"
Sheng Nixie felt the urge to faint. He moved his lips with difficulty. "..."
"Don't ask me. I can tell you why! First, let me ask you: Why did you come here? Was it for what was inside that stack of papers?"
"Of course!" Sheng Nixie answered bluntly.
"Why?"
"For Yu. I wanted to bring her back to life!" Sheng Nixie's face twisted and writhed.
"Very good, very powerful. If doing so required you to pay an incomparably great price, would you still be willing?"
"Of course. Why wouldn't I be?"
"Hehehe!" The voice laughed lewdly.
"What were you laughing at? Was that funny?" Sheng Nixie gradually stopped being afraid of this stranger.
"No! Then I can help you fulfill your wish."
"No need. That stack of papers would be enough."
"I regret to tell you that those are merely a stack of blank pages. Their only purpose is to trap me. They cannot bring that Yu of yours back to life at all." The stranger sounded somewhat smug.
Sheng Nixie froze, then collapsed onto the ground. In fact, from the moment the stranger's voice had sounded, Sheng Nixie had been able to move. He simply had not noticed.
"Hehehe! Don't despair. I said I could fulfill your wish..." The stranger was beginning to sound a little gleeful over his misfortune.
"I agree. I'll agree to any condition!" Before the stranger could finish, Sheng Nixie stood up firmly, terrifying light flashing in his eyes.
"Good!" Perhaps sensing Sheng Nixie's formidable aura, the stranger became serious as well.
"First, I must tell you this: I have already helped you become a first-rate expert at the late Selflessness stage. If your mental cultivation had been sufficient, you would already be a peak expert of the Great Vehicle stage. Don't look at me with such doubtful eyes. It's true. I used all my soul energy to help you reach this point, and I helped you withstand the Selflessness Tribulation. Otherwise, why did you think I was as weak as I am now?"
(The so-called Selflessness Tribulation was the name of the tribulation one had to undergo to advance from Nascent Soul to Selflessness!)
Sheng Nixie stood dumbfounded, with only his mouth opening and closing unconsciously, producing a few incomprehensible syllables.
"Don't look at me so moved. I'm not a woman, damn it. Wasn't that disgusting? I had originally intended to use my soul to devour yours, then seize everything you had. Just as I was about to succeed, those words of yours changed my mind. I've lived in this world for countless ages. I doubt a single person from my era remains, do they?" At this point, the stranger sounded deeply lonely.
"Back then, I was a figure supreme above heaven and below earth. Who didn't tremble all over at the sight of me? The women I had played with numbered no fewer than 000000, perhaps even 000000. But... I originally intended to return to the continent and stir up the winds and clouds once more, but after hearing those words of yours, I changed my mind. There was no meaning in going out myself anymore. I wanted to train a successor. I wanted my school to be passed down. I chose you!"
"You... I... um..." Sheng Nixie no longer knew what to say.
"Stop with the you-this, me-that. I don't have much time left. Earlier, I used up almost all my soul energy. You said you were willing to pay any price?" the stranger asked solemnly.
Sheng Nixie recovered his composure as well and answered respectfully, "Yes, Master!"
"...Good! Good! Good! Good! Hahahaha! I was right about you after all. Good disciple, listen carefully. What follows is your master's cultivation method: Desire Refining Divine Art. First break your virgin body; gathering yin to replenish yang is supplementary; claiming yang and strengthening yang is primary; all things in heaven and earth are my slaves; upon reaching the ultimate realm, little brother, do not get hard. Remember... remember..." Suddenly, the entire table and the stack of papers upon it shattered completely. The whole secret chamber shook violently—it was about to collapse!
"Fuck~~~~~~~~~~ That wasn't what was written on the wall by the cave entrance!~~~~~~~~ Damn it, you tricked me~~~~~~~~" Sheng Nixie's entire body shook violently. A tear silently slid from the corner of his eye and shattered—he had been angered to tears.
"Uh, if I hadn't written it that way, would you have stupidly come in and listened to me? Farewell, good disciple..."
He vanished completely.
"Fuck!" Sheng Nixie raised two middle fingers through his tears and charged out of the secret chamber with a long howl...
Lastly, everyone must be curious about what was written on the wall by the cave entrance. Well, it said this—"I am of the Immortal Clan. I was tragically plotted against by the Dark Clan, and knowing there was no hope of recovery, I specially left behind three volumes of immortal cultivation for a destined person. When that person one day achieves great success in immortal cultivation, they shall roam freely through the nine heavens, shift stars and alter constellations, grasp life and control death—how carefree that would be?!"
The pure Sheng Nixie had been tricked for Yu's resurrection.
PS: Once people had hope, they would no longer be willing to die. Sheng Nixie was the same. Enough nonsense—everyone, please enthusiastically vote for "Path of the Wicked Dragon" and leave comments! The previous chapters were relatively heavy and dark; this chapter was relatively light and humorous. (To be continued)
