Every sect had its own distinctive aura. Compared to Shushan's thousand peaks, wondrous and ethereal, and the towering grandeur and extraordinary bearing of many other sects, Cihang Zhai was like a true paradise hidden away in the mortal world. Aside from the few rather imposing buildings at the very front of the mountain path, the halls and houses built along the slopes formed separate courtyards, as though many people had each come here to live in seclusion.
The entirety of Cihang Zhai exuded a uniquely tranquil and peaceful aura. Beyond that distinctive feeling, the white mountain paths... the many simple courtyards and elegant walls all silently revealed an air of compassion.

Though Cihang Zhai had always given people the impression that it lived apart from the world and rarely walked among mortals, whenever disaster ran rampant, disciples of Cihang Zhai could always be found traveling through the world.
Seventy years ago, when the Yellow River levees burst, a white-clothed woman came from the east, riding the waves. She aided the disaster victims, raised charitable funds after the flood, repaired the embankments, dredged the waterways, and turned ten thousand miles of marshland into fertile fields.
Sixty years ago, bandits wreaked havoc in the Eastern Sea. A white-clothed woman came across the sea and, with one person and one sword, slaughtered all ten thousand bandits entrenched upon the islands.
Fifty years ago, a plague swept through Tongzhou. A white-clothed woman traveled throughout Tongzhou, casting spells and dispensing medicine, saving the lives of countless thousands.
In many mortal legends, these white-clothed women had been said to be incarnations of Guanyin, the White-Robed Great Being. In truth, however, they had all been disciples of Cihang Zhai.
