"Yang Buwei?" Daoist Cangsheng looked at this uninvited guest with some uncertainty. "You've changed too much."
"If you stayed in that godforsaken place for a hundred years, you would change a great deal too." The middle-aged Daoist called Yang Buwei answered indifferently.
"You've appeared here because that matter failed, I presume?" Daoist Cangsheng asked.
"If you had succeeded, I would never have appeared here at all." Yang Buwei's tone remained utterly emotionless. "You should have come to find me."
"It was I who failed to fulfill our agreement." Daoist Cangsheng shook his head. "I now suspect it was Shenxu Temple's scheme from the very beginning. They couldn't possibly have not known what we wanted that innate spirit fetus for, yet they still gave it to me. Because that demonic fetus simply couldn't be raised alive. They knew this could never succeed."
"Shenxu Temple..." Yang Buwei lowered his head and looked at his palm. "I am Shenxu Temple."
